Back Where I Belong

So, I realized that today is exactly one year ago to the day that I wrote my first blog entry about it being the last day with students for the year and the first of my many days of feeling incredibly fortunate and excited about what was going to happen this year.
And here we are with many miles travelled, many new experiences experienced, many days spent with friends and family, many miles run, some books read, some concerts attended, some sunshine chased, some time alone, some time with others, some time reflected on, some future thought about.
And it has been a fan-freaking-tastic time.  I can't think of anything I would change about it.  It has been really interesting to document the year.  It sure makes you realize how much goes on/changes in 365 days.
Today I found myself at the same place I did on the very first day when school started in September....sitting at Sunset Cliffs in San Diego.  Fitting book ends to a year with great things squeezed in between them!

In "my spot"* in February...
and back to "my spot"* today!!
* ...a la Sheldon from Big Bang Theory... "That is my spot."
"In the winter, that seat is close enough to the radiator to remain warm and yet not so close as to cause perspiration. In the summer, it's directly in the path of a cross breeze created by opening windows there and there. It faces the television at an angle that is neither direct, thus discouraging conversation, nor so far wide to create a parallax distortion"...but mostly the view is purdy!!
