Watercolor Festival

This has been a great week at the Calgary International Watercolour Festival.  Inna did a tremendous job bringing top notch artists to teach and inspire.  The workshops with Eudes Correia, Andy Evansen and Nicolas Perez were so diverse and inspirational. The collection of pieces she assembled at cSPACE was very cool.  Got a chance to see and stay with Wayne.  I’m really looking forward to coming back again.

Adventures In Art #54-Watercolor Workshop With Nicolas Lopez: “The Language Of Water”

My brain is getting so full..but in the best way.   Today’s session was amazing.  Such a unique technique from Nicolas Perez.  I asked Inna yesterday if there were any openings in this session, as it was sold out, and there had been a cancellation.   Can’t wait to see what we do tomorrow!  Wow!

Adventures In Art #53-Watercolor Workshop With Andy Evansen

A second workshop in Calgary this week upon Eudes’s recommendation with Andy Evansen.  Another totally unique style and different subject matter; this time, landscapes with strong influences from Joseph Zbukvic.   Value studies and blending colors using “Mr Bead”.  

Another reminder of how much there is to learn.  So enjoyable.
