Karole Foreman posted that she is doing 60 things this year to celebrate turning 60 years old. I think that’s an awesome idea. So instead of just thinking about it, I’m gonna do it. So, 60 things: celebrations, enjoyments, unique experiences, opportunities, reconnections, every day delights, random encounters. 60 positives. Here we go.
1. Well, what better way to start the year than the 6 days Mona spent with me here in San Diego for my actual birthday!! I mean, how does it get better than that?
2. Today. March 16, 2025. I mean, it was nothing extraordinary and at the same time it was incredible because it had a multitude of things I love. I’m in San Diego. The sun is shining. I did a 22,733 step/211 minutes/ 16 km walk from Sunset Cliffs to Dog Beach. I wore shorts and a hoodie. I listened to an audiobook. I walked in the surf in bare feet. The sun on my face. The ocean breeze in my hair. The rhythmic pulse of the waves. The wonderful briny smell of the air. I had a Peet’s latte and a delicious Jensen’s breakfast. I slept until I woke. I painted a little. My back didn’t hurt too much…🫤 I watched the surfers and the waves from the balcony of the condo until sunset. I still have 2 weeks left to enjoy down here. I am healthy. I am so fortunate.

3. Teaching
ecoprinting at Celeste’s today (March 22, 2025). These 7 lovely ladies sure enjoyed the ecoprinting process and created some awesome prints. We used a donated tamale pot from Ralph, Lyle brought her burner and Celeste either had what we needed or ordered it from Amazon. A beautiful day making beautiful art with some beautiful people. We made them Saturday and unwrapped them Sunday. It was a total hit!
