A Winter Learning About Pottery At “Club Mud”

I am SO lucky to have met Celeste and gone to her Harmony Hills Studio in Fallbrook.  What an amazing place, person and group to work with.  I went every Tuesday morning while I was here and tried lots of different things.  Raku, horse hair, sgraffito, underglaze and sprayer, peacock glazing and imbedding sea glass into a wave plate (used a dremel for the first time!).  Classes soon turned into lunches afterward with these wonderful people.   Made some cool stuff and some interesting new friends as well.  Can’t ask for more than that!

I love this funky little yoga studio that I have found.  I’m so glad Nikki was able to keep her business going.  She’s amazing.  She’s created such a cool environment and community here.  I enjoyed every one of the 54 classes I took.  Can’t wait to go back.

This Is 58

I’ve decided San Diego is a fine place to grow old!  😆👨🏼‍🦳

A sunny, warm(ish) day, lunch at Brigantine with Pete and Solveig, a walk at the Cliffs, a nap and yin/yoga nidra with messages from friends and family sprinkled throughout the day.

Who can complain?  Not I! 👍🏼

And the celebrating just kept going on into Tuesday when I went to pottery class in Fallbrook and was showered with cards, gifts, scones, banana bread and taken for lunch.

And I was also bestowed an honorary California citizenship.  I mean, who could ask for more?  🤣😆What wonderful people.

Reflections On A Rainy Saturday In February

Today I am packing up to move back to Pete’s pool house after 4 weeks at the ocean condo.   It sure doesn’t suck to be me.  I’m at 36 yoga classes since I got here and 7 pottery classes and this month:  5 audiobooks, 5 watercolor classes, a glass class at Celeste’s, 1 watercolor art show in Fallbrook, a couple visits with Linda and Terry and countless walks along Sunset Cliffs, “highway poppies”,  kumquats, beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

This has been a great month.  I do love it here.
