January

A heavenly month, despite chaos all around, like Trump and the LA fires.

But here, there were:  Sunset Cliff walks, lots of yoga at Reunify, pottery and painting in Fallbrook, house being painted, ecoprinting, Silo viewing, lunches with Pete and Solveig, art included in the Fallbrook gallery (and sales even before they got to the studio, thanks to Celeste), Paint Out in El Cajon.  Lucky, grateful me!

February I must venture out even more- but this bubble is so comfortable, safe and enjoyable.

I love it here!

Fire and Brimstone

Trump’s inauguration today.  Many disappointed folks here.   Pete and Solveig were avoiding the news so took me to Balboa Park for lunch and a walk through Spanish Village.

Am happily back in routine.  Painting class with Helen, pottery at Celeste’s, yoga at Nikki’s new studio (very nice), walks at Sunset Cliffs, Paint Out in El Cajon, washed cars…in January, outside, in the driveway (I’ll never get used to that!) ๐Ÿ˜‚

House is being painted.  Wildfires in LA devastating Malibu and Palisades.   Just awful.  Everyone on high alert here.  Santa Ana’s have been fairly strong last week and to be this week as well.  Went to Dorland to check out the residency.  Very nice.   I also put 40 pieces of art in the Fallbrook Art Association Gallery!  I’m very content.

Who’s a lucky (and grateful) bastard?  Me, that’s who! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜‚

Happy New Year

I arrived “home” on Christmas Eve, 3 days later than planned, due to the weather.  But it was a good plan to delay as the highway closed at Swift Current on the third day!   So with my usual stops, I arrived safe and sound.   I housesat for Pete and Solveig while they were in San Francisco until December 30.  Then a New Year’s Eve party upstairs to ring in 2025.  So far, yoga and Sunset Cliffs walks, some Netflix and Stephen King’s “The Stand” have kept me happy, content and occupied.  Next week, I’ll add painting and pottery to the schedule.   I’m so glad to be back “home”.
